CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST: “Design and implementation of new algorithmic and AI-based solutions for compression and code-based searches in the Software Heritage Archive (G-2025-25193)”

In view of the possible opening of several research fellow positions (junior and senior) in the framework of a prestigious grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation titled “Design and implementation of new algorithmic and AI-based solutions for compression and code-based searches in the Software Heritage Archive (G-2025-25193)” and led by Prof. Paolo Ferragina, the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies is seeking expressions of interest by potential candidates interested in joining our community.

including (1) a cover letter motivating interest in one or both of the project goals, as articulated above; (2) a Curriculum Vitae with a full list of publications and developed software (with links to public platforms), as well as details about the training activities carried out during the Master’s/PhD degree; and (3) a description of current research , and how it dove-tails with the project goals.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE : May 15th, 2025.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and the candidates interested may be contacted during the period prior to the deadline or in the weeks immediately following the deadline.
All correspondence and expressions of interest will be kept strictly confidential. The knowledge of Italian is not required, while the ability to speak fluently in English is mandatory.
